SUGA of BTS (Min Yoongi) is inspiring a powerful “butterfly effect” after pledging 5 billion won to build an autism spectrum disorder treatment center named "Min Yoongi Center" at Severance Hospital. Since the fundraising began, donations from BTS’s global fandom, ARMY, and others have poured in rapidly.
Within three months after launching, over 550 million won (approx. USD $380K) has been raised by global ARMY for Min Yoongi Treatment Center—an overwhelming response that Yonsei officials described as “beyond surprising.” This surge of support highlights the growing global awareness and aid for autism patients, driven by what’s now called the “SUGA Effect.”
